Around The Farm, After The Flood

Hello.  How may I be of service?

Barack and Michelle, looking for dry land.  Can you see?  They are wet.

This pond is high.

The sign on my front door.  Notice the wet spots.

Run-off.

These have popped up . . . .

In a climate-zone that normally grows these.

Bugs poses for his head-shot.  Mr. April, on the 2012 Calendar?

The kids, on hearing that more rain is predicted.

About nadbugs

Anita loves cats. This must be because she, too, has had nine lives. She’s been dancing since she could walk, she was a commercial artist and advertising producer, she earned a third-degree black belt in Aikido, she is a drummer with the Afrique Aya Dance Company, she is an attorney, and she’s a meditator and a devoted student of Nonviolent Communication. She also spent one lifetime sidelined with a devastating back injury in 1992. Since then – FELDENKRAIS METHOD® to the rescue. The FELDENKRAIS METHOD is all about dreaming concretely – thinking intelligently and independently by way of a gracious and kind physicality. The work affords all who study it a process by which to reach, with movement, into the mind and the heart, to make nine lives into one whole being.

  1. I am sorry but I am cracking up at your chickens named Barrack and Michele….lol!!!!!

Smart that you have a sign on the door for your baby….can’t believe there is water on it that high!!!

Hope things ease up for you soon!

Glad you’re laughing about the chickens — what I was going for. (It’s their beauty that made me think of the first couple, you see. Not their (lack of) brains — there the comparison breaks down completely.) The water on the sign was splash-down from the eaves, I’m glad to say. NOT waters rising to that height. That would be a catastrophe. My friends, tho, had basement flooding — ugly.

  2. Rain, rain, GO AWAY!

  3. I love your goat pictures. Hi bugs! You look happy today.

  4. Wazeau says:

Poor bedraggled chickens! But all that rain will make for more juicy bugs to eat, for sure.

  5. Catsparella says:

Goats!!! The only question I have is when can I come visit!

What a lovely looking goat – such a kind face. Barack and Michelle, great choice of names there. And Bugs is looking handsome as always.

  7. agringa says:

Oh, ooooops. I’m logged in with the wrong name! 😦
