The feeling, when you give it your all –

— and it’s still —

not enough.

About nadbugs
Anita loves cats. This must be because she, too, has had nine lives. She’s been dancing since she could walk, she was a commercial artist and advertising producer, she earned a third-degree black belt in Aikido, she is a drummer with the Afrique Aya Dance Company, she is an attorney, and she’s a meditator and a devoted student of Nonviolent Communication. She also spent one lifetime sidelined with a devastating back injury in 1992. Since then – FELDENKRAIS METHOD® to the rescue. The FELDENKRAIS METHOD is all about dreaming concretely – thinking intelligently and independently by way of a gracious and kind physicality. The work affords all who study it a process by which to reach, with movement, into the mind and the heart, to make nine lives into one whole being.
“Don’t point some box at me. PET ME!”
Not enough!
Oh, I know that feeling.
Sorry to hear it, Dianda. I myself find it a really tough place to be in and still stay optimistic.
I always try to stay optimistic, but there are days that optimistic just isn’t it. 😛
So true. Then I guess we must just acknowledge that life is not just a bowl of cherries. There are pits!
Wise words! 🙂
Oh, I know the feeling and it is a tough place to be. But I got overwhelmed by the cuteness of the pictures and can’t focus on the “not enough”. Sorry. I have only one thing to say: How in the world could you take such cute and perfectly framed pictures? I can’t get enough of them (pun intended!)
I know, Ivy, I felt kind of amused myself (or maybe make that bemused) at how this post pulls against itself. I love that you love the pictures. I too get so much pleasure out of them. And pee ess — cropping has everything to do with the perfect framing. That, and art-school training. And the cuteness? Inherent in the subject-matter. The little rapscallions.
Yup, the little rapscallions! 🙂
Thanks for the tips on photography, have a great Sunday!
My auntie Blossom does the very same thing as you with cameras. The peeps has oh-so-many pictures of her nose. Hehe.
Smeared lens. Lovely.
I’m getting that feeling too, in the new job. Maybe I’m just old and not as sharp as I used to be… Love the pictures, though 🙂
Thank you, Spiders. I do feel the pictures save the day. Ain’t it the truth about jobs. We need them so much and then when we’re in them, it’s a whole nother story.
Come on. Pick up the poor abandoned kittie and cuddle him.
Good one, LC! Abandoned! I should be so abandoned!
oh my goodness, tears leaking out from laughing here at work. I have SO had that routine played out on me. You are a strong woman to have kept hold of the camera instead of caving under the pressure.
I owe it to the boys’s public.
Enough already!! Cute is not the word …. am trying to think of the word??? lol
Winsome? Adorable? Relentless?
Probably ‘Relentless’.
Think so.
I get that pet me pet me pet me pet me attitude from Star, she’s not afraid to dig the claws in if I’m not doing a good enough job! and then when she IS done, she’s fine with biting me to say so! Gotta love’em! MOL
Oh yes. Biting is just FINE.
Awww… How could you deny a face like that anything his furry little heart desires??? You might want to look into some claw covers, though.
Red. To go with the robe, right Pedro? Black and white and red all over that you are?
I don’t know if red would fit Fangie’s personality and coat… I would say something a little more subtle might be good – maybe grey. Or silver glitter. 🙂
Oh silver glitter. So Ga-Ga.
