Soft Landing

Where are you right now?  Are you where if you faint, you will land safely?

It’s just that I haven’t posted in too long and, really, I have nothing especially significant to say for myself or for the boys, particularly.

I mean, things are pretty much situation-normal here.

Like, they’re still bouncing each others’ heads off the floor.

From time to time.

So.

Actually stuff has happened, but I’m too tired right now to tell you about it.  I will, probably over the weekend.

So.

Are you getting the sense that I’m filling up band-width with blather?  To avoid getting to something?

You’d be right.

I have a picture for you that might cause you to lose consciousness.

Sudden blood rush to the head.  Like that.

So are you ready?  Are you in a safe space?  Soft landing?

OK.  Here it is.  Without further ado.

I mean, I’m not going to write any more words about this.

I’m just going to put up the picture.

Oh-KAY awready.

Here it is.

About nadbugs

Anita loves cats. This must be because she, too, has had nine lives. She’s been dancing since she could walk, she was a commercial artist and advertising producer, she earned a third-degree black belt in Aikido, she is a drummer with the Afrique Aya Dance Company, she is an attorney, and she’s a meditator and a devoted student of Nonviolent Communication. She also spent one lifetime sidelined with a devastating back injury in 1992. Since then – FELDENKRAIS METHOD® to the rescue. The FELDENKRAIS METHOD is all about dreaming concretely – thinking intelligently and independently by way of a gracious and kind physicality. The work affords all who study it a process by which to reach, with movement, into the mind and the heart, to make nine lives into one whole being.

I am pole-axed at your incredibly cute cat picture. <:-D

Have they been studying your header? !! Wowsers!

So nice to see you here. I'm pretty sure just stopping in, with no words, would be quite nice for us. I, for one, have missed you.

Awww, that pic of you and Bugsy, of the horrible gray butt and shoulders. …

    • nadbugs says:

Oh Lahgitana. You are priceless. I’m so enjoying this comment. That is amazing about the header, isn’t it. Bugsy gives, there — and receives here. Round and round the merry-go-round turns, goes the carousel. Joni Mitchell again! And thank you for the encouragement about the no words. Inspires me to another post, possibly very soon. Wow, horrible gray Bugsy. You have been reading! I am moved, I tell you!

      • lahgitana says:

Your expressed, in those several posts about Bugsy going walkabout–under the house!!– very well the part of you that was furious with him for doing that! Bad kitty! I laughed every time I encountered that: horrible gray [fill in the body part], but I absolutely understood!

One time, on the 2400-mile drive from the Pacific Northwest to Alaska, my other kitty Ticker, went walkabout at a rest stop in the middle of flippin’ nowhere Yukon Territories! When I found HER horrible stripey butt, she had been sitting under a huge leaf, not 5 feet from me. Oh how hard I tried to keep the fearful fury out of my voice as I quietly walked through the vegetation, softly saying her name IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREAKIN NOWHERE OF YUKON TERRITORIES!!!

Oh yes–what the others say. Apparently we are so taken with your cats that we want pictures. We like you fine, but pics of cats bouncing heads off floors or “all brokeback mouser”? No contest! We’ll fill in the captions, even! >:-D

Oooo, ooo, did you see that Deirdre is collecting stories for Cat Theatre?! I believe you qualify! nice kitty bad kitty! http://wp.me/P14ggD-gB HEY everybody else–YOU go too and leave a link!!

      • lahgitana says:

forgot to mention: I love how the colors sorta remained the same in the two headers. Awwww…. spooky. Otherworldly really….

        • nadbugs says:

Oh lord Lahgitana. How your comment brings it all back. Sheesh. These kitties. They give me heart attacks. Yukon Territory. That’s a lotta ground to cover, like.

It is weird, the similarity, isn’t it. I mean, the whole living room has walls the same color, and B&F were on the east wall in Top Shelf and B&B were on the north wall in Crate Bed — but still. Your point! Like Bugsy did absorb some of Fangie’s sweetness, there. Well — Bugsy has plenty of his own. But this particular face . . . . Eerie, as you say.

  2. That. is awesome! What a sweet sweet picture. I think when you’re ready, that should be your new header.

  3. Herman says:

    Wow, what a beautiful picture…

    • looloo says:

This picture is just marvelous, so sweet! Barney seems to be a reincarnated person, who brings his sweetness and wiseness. I really love your boys!

      • nadbugs says:

Thank you, you both. These pictures — I feel like I’m an empty vessel here! These boys just come through, for us all, right? And looloo — yes yes yes. I really do get that feeling from Barney. He is just scrumptious-wise. What a mix of attributes he brings. He amazes me.

HOW do you get your cats to do that?? The ONE time I caught Stripey and Mojo all brokeback mouser, Stripey made me swear NEVER to tell anyone EVER cos of the potential damage to his rep as a kickass kitty about town. Mojo wasn’t so hung up about it.

  5. starlight says:

  6. Dianda says:

Awww! definitely group hug time!! ((♥))

    • nadbugs says:

Oh for pete’s sake. I wanted another little smiley-face & WP won’t let me. Says it’s duplicative. So I’ll use words, then: SMILEY-FACE. (Take that, WP.)

  9. Puuuurfect! Just like my sickly sweet pair. Battle, battle, cuddle, cuddle. Ya gotta wonder sometimes.

I won’t mention the antics that woke me up this morning.

  10. I missed you (the 3 of you, to be more specific)! How can you say nothing is such a wordy way? How can you entertain me so much with so few words? I love this. And then… BAM! An AMAZING picture like that! I don’t think your preparation was enough for my heart! Ha ha! Off to the next post I go…(sorry I was late for the party…)

  11. nadbugs says:

Any time you show up, dear Ivy, it’s a party. Saying nothing in a wordy way. My work here is done.

  12. So sweet! Kitshka and I do that often now too =^.^=

  13. Marcy Benham says:

I can almost hear Barney saying “I TOLD you he’d give in after a while!”. LOL! That Barney really IS an old soul!

  14. kimmo, spiveroo, stewie and smeezer(our real names have been changed to protect the guilty) says:

Fills my eyes with tears of happiness!

  15. Sometimes words aren’t needed, a picture says it all. They’re so sweet and adorable 🙂
