Cabin Fever

arctic3 001After five days of being cooped up in the house.

arctic3 002This timid little trickle of sunshine is all we’ve had in five days.

arctic3 004This is the outlook.

This is how I feel when contemplating the half-mile hike, up hill and down dale on solid ice, to lay in some more provisions.  Assuming the grocery-store has any.

About nadbugs

Anita loves cats. This must be because she, too, has had nine lives. She’s been dancing since she could walk, she was a commercial artist and advertising producer, she earned a third-degree black belt in Aikido, she is a drummer with the Afrique Aya Dance Company, she is an attorney, and she’s a meditator and a devoted student of Nonviolent Communication. She also spent one lifetime sidelined with a devastating back injury in 1992. Since then – FELDENKRAIS METHOD® to the rescue. The FELDENKRAIS METHOD is all about dreaming concretely – thinking intelligently and independently by way of a gracious and kind physicality. The work affords all who study it a process by which to reach, with movement, into the mind and the heart, to make nine lives into one whole being.

Looks like supper to us! Yum…chik-hen! Nom, nom, nom. We are also stuck in the house and none to happy about it as we continue to tell mom. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

  2. Ha good one! Hope all clears up and WARMS up for you soon!

  3. All the best to you and those handsome boys! Snuggle up and enjoy each other’s company!

I was in Dallas for the ice storm. JhaJha stayed home warm and cozy…maybe missing me…maybe partying all week…she’s not talking.

  4. Mags Corner says:

Oh, wow!! You saw a bit of sunshine I sure hope that is a sign of good things to come. We still haven’t seen any around here yet but it is getting warmer so we are hoping. Our cats stay in all the time but Chancy is sure wanting the ice to go away so he can go run and play. Hopefully soon you all can get out and about with no ice. Hugs and nose kisses

  5. It’s pretty! Be safe, those slips and slides can sure strain the body!

  6. It seems a bit on the chilly side over your way!! Stay safe! Looks like lunch is taken care of!! 😉

  7. Sparkle says:

I think a chicken dinner is in order! 😉

  8. Same here. Sleety and icky. So glad I work from home!

  9. Christine Johnson says:

So we’re not the only ones “cooped” up, poor chickens! The cats seem to be enjoying the view from their nice, warm and cozy perch. Do be careful walking to the store, it’s dangerous out there. I did get rid of my boot today. Yippee!
