Our great friend Pedro has bestowed on us the honor of the Wonderfulness Award. We think Pedro’s pretty wonderful, so this admiration is thrillingly mutual.
Here’s our rule-following effort, in connection with this honor:
1. Yes, we follow Pedro’s blog.
2. Here is where Pedro lives, at “Maru Can Kiss My Furry . . .” Pedro is an excellent highly motivated business-cow-cat. In his pursuit of market-share, I’m sure he would appreciate a visit from you.
3. And the envelope please. The award goes specially to two others, who share our passion for the subject of empathy. These two write about dogs, too, but hey. It’s a big world.
First we want to honor Melanie at “House of Carnivores.” Melanie and her husband are one of the saintly foster-parents and they have a horde of their own cats, also including two greyhound rescues. Every post is food for the soul.
Next up, “Love and a Six-Foot Leash,” the chronicles of the joys of pitbull rescue and fostering. We found this one through WordPress’s Freshly Pressed and boy are we ever glad. The “When We Don’t See Eye To Eye” post exemplifies why our heart sings, to know that these beings, human and canine, are on the planet.
Let the third slot be filled by all you dear readers who comment and follow this blog. No reason to write, without you!
Where’s Bugs, you ask? Sleeping. Again.
He’s probably overcome by the excitement of preparing for Trex’s arrival.
So here’s a shot of the progress we’ve made, in transforming The Hell Room into Trex’s Base Camp.
Not quite there yet. But almost.
We better be – time is a-marchin’! Projected date of transport: ///This SatCaturday!///
There was a BED in there? Wow, it really was a Hell Room!
No, see, that’s the thing. The bed was in the living room and the credenza was in The Hell Room and so the stuff from the credenza had to get excavated and thrown out or moved to the storage car and then the decision had to be made whether the stuff got moved to the dump or to the storage locker and then . . . . Somebody stop me.
Congratulations! Wonderfulness indeed :). Am going to have to check out Pedro. His blog title alone is worthy of a visit!!!
By all means look around. I love the cattitude over there.
Congratulations! You sure deserve it!
We’ll check out the blogs you listed that we don’t know!
We’re so excited for caterday Trexday!
Oh thank you, you
specialwonderful person you.Aww shucks, thanks for including us!
So happy to do it.
Congratulations for being wonderful! I didn’t need to see your award to know that.
Head-bump, Rumpy! You too!
Thank you, thank you for including us! And I can’t wait to hear more about Trex.
Oh, and I will accept the award on my blog… on a different night. I was far too ranty tonight. I want for that to be written about when I’m not doing the ranting thing!
Well, but consider the provocation. In light of which, I wouldn’t say you were too ranty at all. But I take your point, about wanting a different mood in which to accept Your Wonderfulness. We shall wait.
Congrats on (and thanks for) being Wonderful! I can’t wait to check out the blogs you chose, even if they do involve canines.
Great work in Hell Room! Trex is going to appreciate every drop of sweat you shed to get ready for him.
We live in hope. Thank you, as ever, for your supportive words.
Congratulations! 😀
Happy.
You do realize you are going to have to supply at least a few pictures of the trip, right? A lot of kitties & beans have a purrrrrring interest in Trex.
Concats on adding a great kittie to your noo home.
We’re planning on it, Lee Clowder. Many thanks for wanting that!
I’m so excited for your road trip tomorrow!!! I hope Caturday goes well for all THREE of you!
. . . and three of you have even kept track of the date, even in (y)our busy lives. So, on this momentous Caturday morning — as I watch the sky redden to the east, as I await Teresa’s arrival to begin this crazy adventure, as I listen to Bugsy nom his last breakfast in peace — I will reply in three-part harmony:
I am —
It is now Caturday – and I SIMPLY CAN NOT WAIT to hear all about it!
Warmest wishes and purrs for a Happy Trip, Happy Homecoming for Trex, and Happy BigBrotherhood for Bugs!
— so very warmed and encouraged and touched and moved —
It’s Saturday! I will be sending good thoughts your way (and Chrystal’s), hoping for a smooth trip for all and a successful hand-off!
— so happy, in all y’all’s care, attention, and companionship.
Cue that song about wind beneath my wings.
Life seems very full and, well, wonderful at the moment. Thank you all.
Just checkin’ in. Purrrrrrring that the transport is going/has gone well, and Trex is well on his way to his furrrever home.
So…
How’s Trex doing?
How’s Bug’s reacting?
How are the beans adapting?
Kitties and beans really want to know.
Purrrrrrrrring that no noos is good noos.
The suspense is killing us!!
