A series of shots of the boys, interspersed — for no logical reason, it’s just a visit to a spectacular orchid show was my birthday gift to myself — with the gorgeousness. Happy spring, or happy almost-spring, to you all.
The view is a little better up here, Fang.

Are you watching? I’m not doing this for my health, you know!

OK, Bugs! I’m impressed!

Bird! Bird! I’m closer to that bird!

I wonder if I can get to the top of the door from here.

You see how many of these I took? I have more, too! And I wasn’t using the high-speed feature on my camera. He flew up there and then just hung there and hung there. What a little clown he is.

About nadbugs
Anita loves cats. This must be because she, too, has had nine lives. She’s been dancing since she could walk, she was a commercial artist and advertising producer, she earned a third-degree black belt in Aikido, she is a drummer with the Afrique Aya Dance Company, she is an attorney, and she’s a meditator and a devoted student of Nonviolent Communication. She also spent one lifetime sidelined with a devastating back injury in 1992. Since then – FELDENKRAIS METHOD® to the rescue. The FELDENKRAIS METHOD is all about dreaming concretely – thinking intelligently and independently by way of a gracious and kind physicality. The work affords all who study it a process by which to reach, with movement, into the mind and the heart, to make nine lives into one whole being.
Great shots. Love this idea. Amazing colors! I just shot orchids in Florida.
Ahhh — Florida. LOVE Florida. You ever get to Sarasota? The ULtimate orchid garden in Sarasota. Marie Selby Gardens. Matter of fact, I feel the need to hop over there electronically right this minute.
Yup. Yup. SO glad I did. Check it out.
Ah Grasshopper, when the student is ready, the master will appear to teach him to hang from the screen.
MOL Love the pictures! The orchid’s are beautiful too!
Hang Screen Dao. It’s a long lineage. OldCat says so.
When I was a kid, our 2 cats would jump onto the screen of the storm door and hang to tell us they wanted in. We could tell which it was because the guy could make it all the way past the bottom half in one go and the girl would be a bit short and you could hear her back feet squeek on the metal as she hiked herself the rest of the way.
Either one would scare an unprepared guest as a 10-15 pound cat slammed onto the door while watching late night TV
Heart-stopping, I should think.
Cats love to hang around! Looks like they could become great buddies after all. All your hard work is paying off.
Beautiful orchid pics. My brother is a specialist in Pleiones.
Don’t you love the passion of the orchidophiles? Ever read the Nero Wolfe series? Love it.
No I haven’t, will look it out 🙂 And yes he is very passionate and knowledgeable !
Brothers are a blessing in my life, too. LOVE them.
I love your blog!! The cats & their antics always make me laugh.
Hey, totally great. It is to laugh. Mostly. Welcome Pat.
Beautiful Orchids!
I want orchids in my house, but my cats are plant nibblers.
Oh don’t I know it! All plants are banished out of this house with the exception of one little shucks what do you call that thing again? saprosomething? [looking it up] saprophyte! Adorable little mini-bromeliad I bought at Marie Selby gardens in Sarasota. On sale, looked totally dead. Totally REVIVED and now has produced two blooms (in around 7 years). Course, that was before Fang found it and dropped it on the floor. Twice. Never mind. It’s higher than he can reach now. Take that Fang.
Awe, Fang. No. 😦
I had to google what they looked like. I’m not so good with English plant names.
But at least you have places where they can’t reach. I don’t have those.
Love the orchids and the boys!
And hey…Your birthday? When? Happy Birthday!
An unforgettable day. As the Roman said to the legions: MARCH FORTH. Thank you so much, Ivy. It was a day from heaven and hell also. My life. Welcome to it.
LOL – Funny joke, march along! So that’s where our similarities start… We’re both Pisces! Mine is next Saturday. Happy Birthday to us! 🙂
(Crossing my fingers that it’ll be a day only from Heaven this time for me)
Oh great! Honey I do wish you a happy happy heavenly birthday — but you know, we are fish swimming in opposite directions . . . .
Thank you!! And I know…. opposite directions, don’t remind me… 😛
Happy Birthday!!!
Sounds like you had some fun! Enjoy your beautiful new year! May it be the best one yet!!!
Love
Thank you typist! I did have fun. Those flowers were SUCH a lift. Onwards, marching forth.
